Only what you write
We learn who you are only if you send an inquiry.
Who is responsible
CASHFLOWINMIAMI REALTY LLC, a Florida real estate brokerage at 2430 NE 184 Terrace, North Miami Beach, FL 33162, USA, operates this site and decides how the information described here is used: in the terms of data-protection law, it is the controller. Asterra Realty DR is a separate company in the Dominican Republic; every property on this site is offered through the brokerage. The brokerage’s address and email are also at the foot of this page.
Andrey Rossin, the brokerage’s qualifying broker, answers every request about personal information at asterrarealty@gmail.com. He is the person in charge of the protection of personal information under Québec’s private-sector privacy act and the data protection officer (encarregado) under Brazil’s LGPD.
What we collect
Only what you put into the inquiry form:
- your name and your email address
- your telephone number, if you choose to give one
- which holding you are asking about, and your message
- your budget, the areas you prefer and when you would like to visit, if you choose to say
- the language edition you were reading and the time you sent it
Your name, your email address and a short message are needed for us to reply, and the box agreeing to our reply must be ticked; everything else is yours to give or not. If you write to us directly by email, or call or text one of the brokers, we keep what you send in the same way, and the same rights apply; calls and texts to a broker’s mobile number pass through that broker’s telephone company. To stop automated abuse, the server that receives the form also keeps the internet address a message came from in its memory. The address usually stays there for ten minutes after the message; it is discarded with the first message the server receives after that, or when the server restarts, whichever comes first.
What we do not collect
This site sets no cookies. It runs no advertising or analytics scripts and builds no profile of you. Its typefaces, pictures and film are served from the site itself rather than fetched from other companies’ servers.
As with any website, the company that hosts this one receives the technical details a browser sends when it asks for a page — the internet address it is asking from among them — and may keep them in its logs in order to deliver the pages and protect the service. We do not use those records to work out who you are.
We do not track visitors across websites, and no other company tracks you through this site; a browser’s Do Not Track signal therefore changes nothing here.
What your browser keeps
Five small things are kept in your own browser, and none of them is ever sent to us:
- whether you chose the light or the dark appearance
- whether you paused the moving pictures on the home page
- which kind of property you chose to see in the catalogue, noted in that page’s place in the tab’s history, so that Back finds the same choice
- where you were on a property’s page, noted in the same way, so that Back, Forward or a reload returns you there
- for a few seconds while you change language, where you were on the page (the section, how far down, which details were open), so that the other edition opens at the same place; this is kept for the open tab only and erased when the new page opens or the tab closes
You can undo the appearance or the pause with the same switch, or clear this site’s data in your browser.
Why, and on what basis
We use what you send to answer you and, if dealings follow, to keep a record of what was asked and said. Where the law asks for a legal basis — the EU and UK GDPR among others — ours are these: we reply because you asked us to, a step taken at your request before any contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)); and we keep the correspondence because a brokerage has a legitimate interest in an accurate record of its dealings (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not sell it, rent it or share it for anyone’s marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list. The form screens out messages sent by automated programs; apart from that, no decision about you is made by a machine.
Who carries and keeps it
Your inquiry reaches the brokers by email and as a text-message alert. These companies carry or store it:
- Vercel Inc., which hosts this site and receives the form, for us
- Resend, the email delivery service that carries the message to the brokers, for us
- Twilio Inc., whose messaging service alerts a broker by text that an inquiry has arrived, for us; the text carries your name, your email and telephone number, the property you asked about and, if you gave them, your budget, the areas you prefer and when you would like to visit; it passes through the mobile networks on its way
- Google, whose email service (Gmail) holds the brokers’ mailbox, where inquiries are kept
Our providers keep records of what they deliver for limited periods under their own terms.
Where it goes
The brokers work from the United States, and the providers above process information mainly there; some of them also use their facilities in other countries, under their own terms. If you write from the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil or elsewhere, your inquiry is therefore handled in a country whose privacy law differs from yours.
Vercel and Resend state that they are certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries that lead to no transaction only as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of our dealings, and we aim to delete them within 24 months of the last message. If a purchase or sale follows, its file is kept for as long as the law requires — in Florida, at least five years — and Dominican law may require longer for the records of a sale there. You may ask at any time for your information to be deleted sooner, and it will be, unless the law requires us to keep it.
What you can ask of us
Wherever you live, you may ask us:
- for a copy of what we hold about you
- to correct it
- to delete it
- to give you what you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or to send it to another company of your choice
- to limit how we use it, or to stop contacting you
- to stop using it altogether: you may object at any time to any use that rests on our legitimate interest
- to treat any consent you have given as withdrawn, at any time, without affecting what was done before
Write to the address below and a person will answer. You also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority of the place where you live: in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office; in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you live in the Dominican Republic, Law 172-13 gives you the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition, which you may also assert before the courts (habeas data). If you live in the People’s Republic of China, the Personal Information Protection Law gives you the rights to know and to decide how your information is used, to limit or refuse its use, to see, copy and correct it, to have it deleted, to have it moved to another company where the law allows, and to ask us to explain these rules; you exercise them at the same address.
Children
This site is for people buying land, homes and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If what this site does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too.
